I use this product to feed my cats because my husband doesn't like cleaning the kitchen floor. Some of my cats eat sloppy, very, very sloppy. The dirtier ones prefer to drop food directly on the floor before eating. Nobody wants their leftover wet food to dry on the floor, so I put their portion of wet food in a sturdy paper boat, feed it, and then toss it in the bin. Then I noticed that the dirtier eaters started eating right out of the boats without first hitting the ground. So who knows? Perhaps cats, like humans, prefer food served in hygienic, disposable paper utensils. Not the most environmentally conscious behavior, but I have to do what I have to do to keep the house clean.
