Stylish, minimalist, functional!

As a child, tea was always a part of my life. There was always a pot of black tea and a set of tea bags in the fridge for a warm cup in the evening. During college, a friend introduced me to the wonders of loose tea. and while I enjoy it, I do not consider myself an amateur by any means. I like trying out mixes that sound intriguing. I've used a traditional brew ball and spoon for most of the blends, but I made the mistake of not fastening the utensil well enough, causing the tea leaves to float in the cup from time to time. I was looking for a small pot to brew a cup or two and decided to make the leap with this one. I am very pleasantly surprised. I LOVE the sleek, minimalist look of this teapot! To be honest this is the perfect size for brewing 1-2 cups. The strainer sits perfectly on the kettle with just enough tension to keep it in place during brewing and serving. The hole is big enough for me to easily wash the container. My only complaint is that the top heats up a bit during the soaking process, but not to the point of being anything more than uncomfortable. The handle is big enough to fit in my hand and it's comfortable for me to pour. I know it mentions that you can use a saucepan to bring water to oven temperature (gas or electric) but I haven't tried that yet. I have an electric kettle that I program for temperature and then use my "heat" zone instead of an electric stove to keep the pot warm between cups. In that regard, it has worked flawlessly. When pouring, I haven't had a mess with extra "drops" from the spout and it finds the cup perfectly on every tip. Such a wonderful little teapot - great for large or small leafy blends - would make a very good gift. and a great kettle to have on hand if you just need a cup of tea or something!
