This collar feels sturdy and looks great on my 2 year old German Shepherd. After reading the reviews about how big they are I made sure to measure their neck to get the right size. I measured her neck at 20 inches and bought XL (16-20 inches) expecting she to be comfortable. I had to tighten it all the way and it was still a little loose but I figured it would be ok. While walking she noticed another dog, slipped out of the collar and attacked another puppy (we are still working on her aggressiveness towards other dogs). Luckily I was able to regain control of her by calling her to me, but it could have been bad. This is a good collar but make sure you order smaller than the size you measure.
