Affects pressure sensitivity, wears out absurdly quickly on matte screen protectors

, here are the pros and cons if you don't want to read the full review: Pros: - Tips fit pens easily. - The tips could be written very nicely on the matte screen protector. Disadvantages: - The tips are completely worn away by matte protective films at an unbelievable speed (almost completely worn out within 6-8 hours). For more information, see the full review. It's not the fault of the screen protector. - The spikes distort the pressure sensitivity so much that if you can't turn off the pressure sensitivity it will be very annoying when you try to make some art or even take notes. - The removal tool is really hard to use and destroys the tips. Here's the full review: I bought this along with a matte screen protector to try and replicate the feel of writing on paper. I was expecting some wear, but these nibs wore down to an unusable amount within a day or two (6-8 hours of writing). At first I found the screen protector to be too rough, but after trying Staedtler's replacement tips I found that the tips are just very cheap plastic. In comparison, I ran the same Staedtler tip for a month and didn't notice much wear. You're probably fine if you're using a smooth plastic screen protector (or maybe even glass), but Staedtler nibs are still much more durable. The next problem with these tips is that they ruin the pen's pressure sensitivity. . At first I thought it was just weird areas on the screen causing the pressure sensitivity mismatch (and there is to an extent), but these tips exaggerate the inconsistencies. I still found Staedtler's advice much more consistent. This is probably due to the fact that the standard pen tip and the Staedtler have a rubber at the end that cushions the pressure when writing. Because the pen's sensitivity has been calibrated for these conditions, these hard plastic tips can't handle it at all. Finally, the tips come with a tip removal tool. I found this tool very tedious. It worked best with the standard pen tip and Staedtler nibs as it could actually compress the rubber surface of those nibs, but even then it was quite difficult. When it came to removing those hard plastic tips, I found it almost impossible. It would probably be a lot easier if the metal was closer to the sharp edge at the pinch point. I ended up having to use pliers most of the time to get the tips out. The tool also severely damaged the tips. All in all, I wouldn't recommend these tips. I wish they were more durable because they were a pleasure to write with apart from the spoiled pressure sensitivity. They wear out too quickly with matte screen protectors and should not be used on glass or plastic screen protectors (or on a glass screen without a screen protector) due to their poor pressure sensitivity and slip resistance. If you need replacement nibs I'd rather recommend the ones Staedtler makes for the Noris Digital and Noris Digital Jumbo (they fit all the new S Pens just as well as mine).
