The Belkin Essential 034 Case for Apple iPod Touch 4G (Well Blue) is a good plastic case that can suit your needs. But the product description is wrong. While it doesn't add any bulk to your iPod, it's just a regular plastic case. As far as I know, it doesn't have a "shock absorption band". And it's not "easy to hold" or "flexible" as advertised. This is a hard plastic case. Also, it scratches just like the back of your iPod. Mine was scratched before I even took it out of the box. PROS:++ The case is extremely thin and adds little bulk++ The case is also very light++ The transparent material adds color while still allowing you to see your iPod++ Provides easy access to ports, lenses and controls CONS: The hard case is in contrast to inflexible silicone, which is flexible and more shock-absorbing. The surface has no texture, making it less comfortable to grip than a patterned case. Offers less protection than other cases like the Speck PixelSkin. -- It has as many scratches as the back of your iPod -- No included "cushion tape" as advertised -- No screen protector included (some cases include one) -- Cheap iPod Touch case (although all iPod cases are overpriced) - Few color options. ALTERNATIVES Alternatives like Belkin F8W012ebC02-2 Essential 023 (TPUs) Apple iPod Touch 4G Silicone Case (2-Pack) - Golden Garden/Fountain Blue offer the best value, including 2 cases for less than just one case 034 here. Multiple color options are available. Even the brightest colors are not as bright as the pictures. They are also available as Belkin Essential 023 Silicone Case for iPod Touch 4G - 2 Pack (Zip Purple/Pink Paparazzi) and Belkin Essential 023 Silicone Case for iPod Touch 4G - 2 Pack (Black/White/Blue Ink). Comfortable grip surface and all controls are accessible. The Speck PixelSkin Rubberized Case for iPod touch 4G (Black) is my favorite silicone case. It lacks the extra strip of base silicone found on the Essential 023 cases, but has a thicker rim, making the Belkin Essentials feel fluffy and thin. All silicone cases have the advantage of flexibility over this hard case. If you are looking for the thinnest case, you should pay attention to this one. But PixelSkin offers much better protection and functionality. CONCLUSION This might suit people who want a clear case so they can add color to their iPod without covering it up. But the protection offered is minimal and the product does not match the descriptions and photos. If you use your iPod frequently on the go and need maximum protection, consider alternatives. It's still better than not using a case at all, but it falls short of the PixelSkin when it comes to fit and protection. Enjoy.
