I bought this because we needed a dark brown (almost black) coffee table to match our coffee table. It is suitable for that. It is also very durable once assembled. However, the issues I had with the build were BAD. I am an avid craftsman and have lots of tools and experience. I have no problem with the things the regular Harry housewife does, but this table was awful to put together. There were no spare screws in the hardware kit, and one of the screws was missing a slot in the head for the Allen key. It was just a solid screw head. Thank goodness I had extra screws from other furniture projects I've made. This solves that problem, but I doubt many other people would have the additional features that I have. Next, there were two holes that should have been drilled in the tissues at the corners of the tabletop, but there weren't any. Buryats. They just forwarded it to QC and apparently didn't check it. The funny thing was that the QC sticker "PASSED" was right next to one of the gussets that wasn't drilled. I had to take this thing to my drill press, carefully measure the location of the holes, and drill them. I have nothing against woodworking at all, but the fact that I paid for something that should be easy to assemble really annoys me. raw. Hope this helps future buyers.
