At first glance the construction of this cable gives the impression of quality. Braided cable is flexible enough, although it retains some wrap memory, which I don't see as a problem. The included buckled faux leather strap is a nice touch, and its size keeps the reel compact for storage. The various adapter heads snap gently into place, letting you know they're locked in place. While the heads have remained safe for me in use so far, switching between them is a breeze. I may have only one remark, and it is quite unimportant. The heads are a smooth hard composite. Despite the good feel, a structured or rubberized surface makes it easier to change the adapter heads. I first tested the Surface Go charging cable with USB C via a 45W box. Go went from 10% to 90% in an hour and was 99% in the next 15 minutes. I then tested it to charge my Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Yoga, which charges via 60W USB C PD. A Chafon cable connected to a 60W box charged Lenovo from 55% to 99% in under an hour. It definitely meets the criteria of a PD fast charging cable. My third test, while somewhat unfair, was to expand the cable's capabilities. I used it to connect my X1 Yoga to a Plugable USB-C Triple Display Dock. The docking station simultaneously transmits PD charging, video signals from 3 external monitors, audio signal, Ethernet signal and data from external USB via USB-C 60W cable. The Chafon cable successfully delivers 60W charging power, an Ethernet signal and two external monitor signals. Although it passed the signal for the HDMI 4k monitor and the DVI Display Link monitor, it couldn't seem to find the HDMI Display Link monitor. That result is still impressive, especially considering the dock comes with a much thicker USB-C cable. usb head They all connect well and charge quickly. I travel occasionally on business and it would be a good idea to take this with me to replace my cable collection and make my cable cart smaller. The bottom line is that this cable does what Chafon says it does and the price is more than reasonable for what it does and how it performs. Now I want Chafon to release a 6 inch version of this. I declined the offer and bought it at full price because it was cheap anyway and I didn't want to feel swayed into writing a positive review.
