Review on Natural Bamboo Wall Mount Shelf with Towel Bars - Organize It All by Mia Parks

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Creative thinking required - and a trip to the hardware store

The good news is that this shelving and shelving is easy to assemble and set up. The bad news is that you have to drive to the hardware store first. As mentioned in some other reviews, two screws are required for the rear towel rail as the ones supplied are too short for this particular part. You simply cannot attach this part securely without purchasing additional screws. Poor oversight by seller or manufacturer. Installation is also difficult. This shelf hangs on wall screws and captures them. This means that both screws must protrude from the anchors just enough for the shelf to be flush with the wall so the shelf can slide but is snug against the wall. I found this annoying so I drilled a very small hole (see picture) from the rear mounting points to the front to allow the anchor bolts to be tightened with a tiny screwdriver while the unit is installed. This allowed me to attach it to the wall very securely so there was no play. This was particularly necessary as the unit warped slightly after installation - it would have been very difficult to install both arms flush with the wall by trial and error with lag screws. All in all, it's a good thing that does what it says on the tin. on a can, but you'll have to do a little work to get it perfect.
