Review on LilyPadz® Reusable Silicone Nursing Regular Feeding by Kevin Urena

Single breastfeeding day pad

I started LilyPadz when my first baby was 4 months old. After my milk production stabilized, I only used these nursing pads. Now that I have my second child, I've been using LilyPadz since birth. I very rarely leak when wearing these pads. Leaking sometimes happens when I haven't breastfed for a long time and start to swell. The good thing about these pads is that small leaks usually don't go beyond the area the pad is stuck to until I remove the pad. With these pads I don't have to wear a nursing bra at night and they don't slip down like pads that fit in sleep bras. They're like a second skin so no one will know I'm wearing a nursing pad. All other nursing pads will show through my bras and look like I'm lining my bra. They're also perfect for swimming, especially when I don't have padded cups in my swimsuit. With constant pressure on the nipple (thereby smoothing it out), milk usually does not come out. The only time I advise against using LilyPadz is when you are covered in blood to start breastfeeding. At this point I recommend using thick disposable pads. I did not purchase any LilyPadz cleaners. I simply wash the pads with soapy water and warm water and then let them air dry. I always have two pairs on hand so I only have to wash them once a day. On average I have been able to get them to last 2 to 3 months per pair.
