It's a good shot, but it's not an "alternative exit". A paper-thick cotton sheet is sewn in between the two fleece layers, but without filling material and therefore also without fluff. Something advertised as "alternative down" needs to be filled in - that's the "alternative" part! - and since it doesn't, it didn't quite live up to my expectations. It could be more accurately described as quilted. Pros: It's soft, attractive, and big. Cons: no padding, zero volume and therefore not even as warm as it should be. Also, after a single wash and about a week of light use on our sofa, a few confusing stitching are unraveling. I doubt it will last even one winter. Complete disappointment.
