This is more like silver. Don't be fooled by the "stainless steel" heading. I wear both everyday and was thrilled when I found them and they claimed they were stainless steel as I was planning to put them on my sterling silver bracelet. In the image above it can be seen against a silver background after it has faded. I've had to change it twice as it fades after about 30 days. Where silver plating can tarnish, stainless steel will not. I am extremely disappointed. Especially since my daughter is allergic to many metals. I was going to give her one for her stones but I'm glad I didn't. I understand that the title "stainless steel" mentions a silver plate. So it's not like I was expecting a silver plated stainless steel base, but I was prepared for that just in case. It's just that the base isn't stainless steel, as my jeweler told me after my second one tarnished. If you don't wear it every day, it might work for you. Just keep it away from perfume (I don't wear perfume), water or excessive sweat.
