I think on a hot day any breeze is welcome. Unfortunately, he's not strong enough when he's a few feet away. Being a stroller fanatic, the child would just keep picking it up off the side of the stroller and instead holding it away from them. As a small desktop fan, it didn't help much in front of the computer, but pointing the fan at its vents helped keep the laptop cool. Battery life is good. I used batteries. Sturdy enough to withstand the rough handling of a 3 year old toddler.
