Review on 👗 Retro Rockabilly Polka Dot Printed Women's Plus Size Dresses – Vintage 40s and 50s Bridesmaid Dresses by Luisana Brooks

Although my measurements (45"/39") fit a size 16, I felt like I needed to go down a size on this dress. Unfortunately there were no 14s in stock in any color so I took the 16. As I suspected it's too big for me. I'm not deducting a star for this because I knew I was taking a risk. The back is constructed in the same way as the front, but with smaller tucks. If you have a small bust and the front is too full for you, I would honestly flip it and wear it differently. Either way, the front and back flaps are open, so you'll need to attach them to each other. I would prefer if I can attach it to my frame myself. The downside I find with the manufacturer is the waist and belt. First, they didn't align the belt, so there's no way it would stay flat on anyone. Together they will definitely crunch. Second, the waist is too high. I have a photo where one hand is pointing where the waist of the dress is and the other is my own waist. I'm only 5ft 3" and do NOT have a long waist. In fact, I even raised my hand a little to show the highest part of my waist. If you like it just below your breasts, that's fine, but it's not. on the photo. Because it's 100% polyester and thin, it has LOTS of static electricity, so have a can of anti-static spray handy. the fabric seemed to flatten the petticoat. You definitely need a jumpsuit underneath as it is transparent enough in the light to see your body through the skirt. The skirt is nice and wide with enough room to put on a petticoat (or two). I'm very close to keeping this dress but it's only $15 and it's almost summer so I might find a use for it.
