This is a heavy duty, durable all-metal safety razor. The head screws on and off to accommodate a razor blade. It comes with five blades, and the head configuration makes it compatible with standard-size razors (essentially, you don't have to worry about spare blades not fitting). Inside is a cleaning brush. Being all metal it takes a while to get used to the weight of cheaper razors which are lighter but the handling and control is much better than cheaper ones. The handle is shaped in such a way that it does not slip and the flow of water or cream onto the blade is sufficient. This is an excellent base for a safety razor for extended use.
