Review on πŸ‘Ά Storkcraft Tuscany Custom Glider and Ottoman: White/Grey with Lumbar Pillow - Review & Features by Robbie Guinn

Design, quality and value

This is the basic ottoman glider combo. I bought about 2 weeks ago for $190. There are a few positives, but I expected more from this chair. If I could, I would bet 3.5. See breakdown below. Advantages: 1) Easy to assemble. 2) Aesthetics: The color combination looks amazing. 3) Chair: solid wood looks great! Robust and only small defects from the packaging. 4) Cushion: Includes buttons and ties to ensure a snug fit that stays in place. There are also pockets on the sides! 5) Pillow: The lower back pillow allows the user to recline easily without experiencing lower back pain. (Minus: the zipper is white and clearly visible at the end of the pillow). Cons: 1) Cushions: The foam interiors for the seat, armrests, and ottoman are thin, hard, and collapse when squeezed. The back consists of different inner sides and is more comfortable. The rustle goes away when the chair is disassembled, but the cushions remain firm and thin overall, especially when compared to other brands I've sat in like Shermag or Dutalier. Plus, the cushion fabric looks and feels like old suede - so worn, less soft and with a dull, dull feel. The feel and look of the cushions are the most disappointing factors, making the entire chair look and feel a bit cheap up close. 2) Ball Bearings: They make a strange clicking noise. Luckily a bit of WD40 on the bearings provided the sound, but the sound will come back with use. At least there are no problems with functionality. 3) Prize: This is a very basic glider-stool combo. It has no multi-point locks (which is a great feature), no recline or footrest in the ottoman. So the price is much lower than most ($190) but still higher than devices with comparable specs ($140 and up). For the price I was expecting a higher quality pillow. For $20-$30 more I could buy a Shermag that has soft and plush cushions and the chair has a multi-lock feature. I didn't because I didn't like the Shermag color options and there were a lot of reviews reporting ball bearing issues. This is how 3.5 fits.
