Review on Vine Homecare Food Grade Maintain Cracking by Amy Cosme

Revainrating 4 out of 5

A good way to maintain my wooden bowls is with edible mineral oil...

I don't use wood chopping blocks but I have some very old bowls. These bowls are quite old and I use them every day. In one I have fruit on the counter. I decided to try Vine Homecare food grade edible mineral oil. These shells can crack when dry. I poured some in the center and wiped with a microfiber cloth. It lightened and darkened the wood and apparently seeped into the fibers. There are other wood surface restorers and preservatives I could use on these bowls, but they are far from food grade. This is a relatively small 355 ml (12 fl oz) bottle, but should last you for a while. I wash my bowls often and taking care of the wood is a must. A bit expensive for what you get, but if you have an expensive deck to cut it's probably worth it. INGREDIENTS: USP grade pure white mineral oil.
