I was hoping it would be like cheap knitted watch caps. Instead, these caps are thicker and feel smaller than I wanted. But surprisingly they are much warmer than knit hats, don't bake my head and don't sweat on a chilly day. The second surprise, it stretches easily and comfortably, covering just above my eyes, both ears to the line of the glass and to mid-nape of the neck. It protects against wind but lets moisture through.
