Review on Allsop Metal Art Jr. Monitor Stand - Pearl Black (30165): A 14-Inch Wide Platform with Keyboard Storage, Holds up to 40 lbs by Mark Powell

I've had several of these monitor stands and never had any issues with them, but got a second one to add a second monitor in my home office and to my surprise it is it's a complete piece of garbage. It is deformed/concave and the monitor shakes. This is nothing more than a supposedly identical product that I ordered a few years ago - it was much lighter, lighter in color and the metal was thin. There's no way he can handle 40 pounds. A normal-sized monitor is too much for him. I hope it was an accident and will try again, but it really looks like they skimped on materials and ruined a perfectly good product.
