Worked well as a laptop stand. Each of the two outer ribs has hex head screws on the bottom to ensure proper fit for computers of different thicknesses. Includes two extra screws and an Allen key. I customized one side for my MacBook Air, the other side for Lenovo. Once adjusted, they held each of the computers upright and the base has just enough weight to prevent tipping. See attached pictures. If you need to keep your laptop upright to avoid cluttering your desk, this will work just fine. For the intended purpose I give 5 stars.
