When I first opened up this Queen Duvet Set from Beddyly I thought I'd write a five star review. The duvet is a lovely colour, the stitching and construction seem solid and the duvet set itself is nice and soft. But then I laid it on my bed and noticed the flaws. When I spread it out on the bed, I first noticed two small spots on the headboard of the duvet that appear to be black ink. They are very small, but I'm very picky and a bit of a perfectionist. I was about to let him go when I spotted three more similar stains elsewhere on Comfort Linen. All of these stains seem to have washed out very well and I don't know if they will come out in the wash but in my opinion they shouldn't be there at all. I appreciate the quality comforter. When I place a queen comforter on top of my queen mattress, I always place the top of the comforter flush with the head of the mattress. If the duvet is the right size, I would expect it to drape at least 9 or 10 inches below the foot of the mattress to hide the sheets. I also expect it to drape at least the same length down the sides of the mattress for the same reason. Well, this duvet falls just 6.5 inches over the bottom of the mattress and about 11 inches down the sides. It is enough to hide the leaves only from the side, but not from below. I've thought about it and I've come to the conclusion that even though it's offered at a bargain price, the consumer shouldn't settle for these shortcomings. You could save the ink and make it a little longer and then charge ten bucks extra and I'd be happy. Instead, I can't really recommend this duvet, and my rating is three stars, mainly because of its softness and solid construction. **************** UPDATE September 7, 2021 - I have now washed and dried the comforter in hopes that the "ink stains" or whatever the black spots come with of the laundry disappear . You are still there. Now I've added two photos that are close-ups of the marks. Again, many people may not notice them, and if they do, they don't care. But I'm picky, as mentioned before. These are clearly permanent stains and as mentioned I don't think the consumer should put up with this, even at a bargain price.
