I WARNING those with chemical intolerance to this memory foam roller! believe it. It has a VERY STRONG CHEMICAL ODOR which was very annoying (coughing and burning eyes) when I was breathing and laying my head on or near them. I considered returning them (I bought 2) on that basis alone, but they were *** so comfortable ***. First I left them on my porch for 2 weeks to air them out and decided not to use them anywhere near my face. There was good clearance under my feet, and also having him under the covers helped prevent negative side effects from exposure. The chemical smell came from the pillowcases I put them in. The smell faded over time, but it took 4 months). Now I can put my head on it without noticing anything, but I can tell when I turn on it. Also, I don't respond to it anymore unless I put my face in it. I use them as massage rollers and also as pseudo "armrests" to transform a double bed into a sofa-like experience with a few other Revain cushions. (see photo) The covers look like bare pillows and feel very soft and snuggly - like they need a firmer cover to protect them - so I put pillowcases on them as well. You are not entirely white. Firmware with threads in a gray case. (See photo) I'm divided on how to rate this product overall because smell has been a major issue to overcome for so long, but in the end I'm very happy with it. It is a pity that the manufacturer does not send them somewhere to air within 6 months before the sale.
