Works very well just doesn't produce any noticeable heat. If you don't want the heat this is a five star product, especially for $40. I'm giving it 4 stars because I wanted warmth and its lack is really disappointing. The body material is synthetic neoprene which can be wiped clean. It's not as good as the previous Shiatsu massager I bought, but it was double the price. It comes with a wall plug and a car cigarette lighter adapter which is a good option. Unfortunately, the power cord is uncomfortably short. The power buttons are on one of the straps. There is an on/off button, a heat button, a reverse button and a speed button. You can tell that the "Heating" function is switched on by the fact that it immediately lights up red. You slip your arms or hands through the straps to attach them to your neck, back or shoulders. You can change the intensity of the massage by holding it tighter. You can also slide it down and press it against your back with a sofa or chair. The massage balls are smooth and provide a powerful massage. I was surprised at how quickly this pattern changes direction; it's basically every few minutes. I liked it. The massage feels different when the balls change direction, so it's good to try both directions every few minutes. The fabric on the testicles is thicker and softer than my previous massager, which felt more like an open mesh. It's like a thin, breathable combination of foam and mesh. It comes with a nice, easy-to-read instruction manual that looks like a little booklet. The device is packed in a sturdy cardboard box with a carrying handle.
