I just received the product yesterday and did a little test at home and at work. There are no written instructions on how to use the product, but everything is pretty clear. The USB cable is quite long and I had no problem plugging it into my desktop tower, which was either on the floor or on a table (could be 3-4 feet long?). The mittens are fairly snug fitting to keep the wearer's hands as close to the heating zone as possible. There is Velcro on the underside of the mittens, but they are not tight. The mittens/warmers heat up quickly, but there is no other way to control the temperature than unplugging the USB port. Residual heat is not retained after disconnection from the mains. One of the mittens (for me it was the one with the charging port on the right) heated up faster than its counterpart and got hot enough to make my skin red and irritated. Not sure if the element is to blame, but I'll try a few more times to see if it's just my own skin sensitivity. The product can also easily be used with an external battery when you are on the go / away from your PC. .Overall the mittens look cute and keep hands warm. Those with longer fingers or larger hands will experience some discomfort due to the size.
