Review on A5 Laser Engraver CNC 20W - Ideal for Metal, Wood, Leather & More! by Dawn Fischer

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Easier to use than I thought!

The unit was packaged very well and although the box was slightly damaged the internal components were not damaged. All instructions and parts packs are labeled with steps and the owner's manual matches these numbers very easily. This was my first personal laser engraver/tractor/cutter and I was surprised. Using LaserGRBL is very easy (there is a YouTuber called Ming's Workshop or something with great starting points). The only issues I have had with the alignment straps so far and it was my own fault for not tightening them properly to the same tension and forgot to remove the protective film from the plastic, that I engraved. which formed a beautifully carved mound of molten plastic which, when chipped off, revealed a beautifully etched logo. My user error aside, this has been a great addition to my hobby tools. Definitely recommended, but remember without etching spray or tape it will not etch/engrave on reflective surfaces such as sheet aluminum or business cards. I also laid out a 12" x 18" piece of tile as a cutting board, making sure it was level so I wouldn't accidentally burn through my workbench.
