I wish I had found them sooner. I've had other gaiters for about the same price including Swiss military gaiters that were undersized or cheap. I didn't want to spend $60-90 on good expeditionary research leggings since I don't use them very often. those were good spats for me. They go really well with big boots and my large calves. I highly recommend. They appear to be of sufficient quality that they don't fall apart after a single use. It has a relatively small buckle, but I don't use them that often, and if they break I can adjust them, perhaps by velcroing the shoe and then either sewing or stapling it together to strengthen the adhesive. the actual gaiter fabric should last quite a while and for the price it's pretty good.
