I bought these after I gave my daughter my old Canon Powershot and needed a new one to replace it. A very good (and knowledgeable) friend recommended this camera to me and I bought it. There are many reviews here that talk about the features and technical details of this camera, but I will make a review from a layman's point of view. .I was so happy with this camera! It fits perfectly in the hand (good ergonomics), has an ideal weight and the controls are arranged in such a way that they are easy to reach and use. The screen on the back is a nice size, much bigger than the last camera I had and it's easier for me to use the screen than the viewfinder. I also really like that it comes with a nice sturdy strap and lens cap. with good attachment. The shoulder strap is adjustable to almost any length and fits comfortably around the neck. The lens cap and lanyard keep the lens clean and won't scratch it. The instructions are easy to read and very detailed. A complete user manual is included on a CD, it's easy to install and contains all the information you need to learn how to use the features of this camera. Filter to lens. Overall I like this camera and would recommend it to both novice and experienced users. I didn't want to part with my old Pentax SLR camera, but the pictures I get with this camera have convinced me.
