Very happy with it. It's actually 3 inches thick (I measured) and it doesn't smell. I know a lot of people are bothered by the smell of memory foam, and I'm also sensitive to chemical/new car smells, so I was concerned before buying this. I didn't notice any smell right after opening either, but I did let it air out and stretch out for a couple of days just in case. You're definitely immersed in it, but in a really relaxing way. When I lie on my side, my femurs don't hurt anymore. press them against the springs. You could probably sleep on the floor with one of them and it would still be comfortable. It should be noted that this is a thick foam topper and your old sheets and comforters probably won't wear it, but that goes for any memory foam topper, just keep that in mind. The long 10 year warranty is also a big plus, I don't have to worry about the foam failing after a few years or a big dent on one side of the mattress topper.
