I love these little curly trees. I originally bought two 12" planters but quickly realized I would have to repot them. I really didn't want to take the trees out of the original pot as they are quite pretty so I used 14 inch planters and put the whole pot in. entered the planters. It worked great. I wanted to add some height to the trees and it worked. I filled the pots with sand for weight and then added some Spanish moss to fill in the gaps. It looked fine before I added the moss, so feel free to do it however you want. Several reviews I read said they looked wrong and expected more. I think they look pretty realistic for an artificial plant. You need to take some time to straighten them to make them look full. If you don't spend time on them, they won't look complete. I think mine looks like the picture. In the spring I will put them on the street, I hope they hold up well. They appear to be well constructed and durable. I have bought many plants from this brand and have never been disappointed.
