I bought these shears solely for roasting chicken. They worked exactly as I hoped the first time I tried them, and they didn't work that often, maybe four more times in the few months I've been using them. I have taken great care to ensure the scissors are thoroughly cleaned after each use and kept in the original packaging. However on last use they fell apart when I cut the chicken bone, all the pieces fell apart and I had a very hard time putting them back together as my hands were slippery from the chicken fat. Maybe it's my fault, but assembling these scissors was a difficult task - at least it seemed to me. However, they work very well when assembled correctly and based on that I can honestly recommend these shears and give them 5 stars.
