This thing definitely does what I need as a stand for my mouse so I can elevate it with my keyboard and monitor while standing at my desk. The wider stand I bought for the keyboard didn't fit the mouse either. All in all, everything is perfect, except for the dubious fact that they didn't include non-slip pads for the stand like I did with the larger keyboard stand. I guess I should get my own.
