When Velcro straps are attached to the hook part of the orthosis, a small part of the hook part remains open. I ruined the stretch sheet before finding a permanent solution. In this small open space, I used hot glue to cover the hook area so it wouldn't get caught on the leaves. I also placed a clipped sock cuff over the entire brace to further protect the sheets. I think this cuff is not meant to go through your arm but around yours Protect arm from attached belts. I would reorder them when the time comes. I was scheduled for carpal tunnel surgery but canceled because continued use reduced the need for surgery.
