We bought this for our church to replace the old mercury fittings. This light is much brighter and whiter. Neighbors also like it because it illuminates the sidewalk very well. The installation is no different from other devices. I would definitely recommend this light as the price is very reasonable and it is commercial quality. ***UPDATE*** I liked this lamp so much I bought another one for our house. I'm an electrician by trade and this instrument is as good as it is at a very affordable price. Brightness is VERY good; we live in a village, the nearest town is six kilometers away, and it gets very dark in the yard. I set it up at 22 feet and it lights up an area of about 1000 sq feet before it starts to fade. This light is in no way inferior to any standard parking light. **UPDATE** from 02/03/2020 The two lamps that I installed in 2017 still work great. I just ordered another one for my driveway. I DEFINITELY recommend this mount.
