Review on 🐢 Nutritious ORIJEN Dry Dog Food & Crunchy Biscuit Treats: Grain-Free & High Protein by Amanda Perkins

Orijen does it RIGHT!

I blog regularly about types of pet food people should avoid, marketing scams, and the underhanded ways the pet food industry is β€” with our government's permission β€” defrauding consumers about what ingredients they contain and where those ingredients are are come from. Luckily, the makers of Origen have the right ingredients, honest marketing, and transparency. This 4 pound bag for dogs contains 85% protein from chicken, turkey, eggs and 3 species of wild fish. The remaining 15% is grain-free and contains no high-glycemic fillers. The package includes the names of the local sources these ingredients come from, unlike many companies that outsource products and processes to other countries. Also, and this is REALLY important, each package lists the percentage of each protein ingredient so you can determine how much animal protein your dog is getting. I've seen other competitors' "holistic" chicken and pea foods that were only 36% total protein, and it was mostly pea protein (I had to call the company and move before anyone revealed the secret formula). Orijen is doing it right and should be a business model for other pet food companies. (And no, I am not affiliated with Orijen and receive no compensation. I am a dedicated animal lover who hates cheating and manipulation at the expense of our pets.)
