Exactly what I needed! Not too thick but definitely
fleece inside and they definitely stand up to the Florida winter. And it's not thick either so it can be layered in colder conditions etc. They are snuggly and comfy for my little 5 year old. This keeps her legs warm enough and at the same time she can wear a short uniform!
