Headlights are great, but sticky! WHICH GLUE?

I have ordered these to be placed on the bottom of a shelf in a dark closet. I connected them to a motion sensor and they work great. When I open the closet, the light comes on. Shortly after the closet is closed, they switch off. I also like the color of the lights (I have the 5000k version). The reason I gave them 3 runs is that the glue might be missing. The water is stickier than what they put on those lanterns. They came with some small fasteners that actually work well IF you can handle the SMALL screws they put you in some pretty awkward positions. If they updated the adhesive it would be a 5 star product but unfortunately you have been warned.
