Review on 🛏️ Mahogany Bed Step with Storage by Powell Woodbury by Richard Kuntz

I wanted a stool that looks like a piece of furniture and is just the thing. I use it to get to the top shelf in my closet. The small storage space under the top step is just right for those pesky hangers that seem to gather around the closet. Now I know where to turn when I need it. The stages come in 8 or 9 pieces and are easy to assemble if you lay out all the pieces and read the instructions. The packaging has been carefully thought out, all parts have been stacked on top of each other and secured. The finishes were impeccable, with one exception. The reason I gave it a 4 instead of a 5 is because there was a one inch gap in a section of the veneer. Since the packaging was so good, I thought it was a manufacturing defect. Unfortunately, the defect in the paintwork was only visible after I had basically assembled the device. When I called to see if the company would replace that one section I was told they would not and to receive an undamaged item I would have to disassemble the entire unit and send it back for a brand new unit. I felt this was inappropriate as the unit was very heavy and part of the assembly consisted of single direction screw guns. I decided to leave the unit and cover the defect with furniture paint. I've had it for six months now and it remains a solid foundation for reaching a high shelf. Warning: While it's generally stable, you can tip it over if you lean too far left or right and reach over your head.
