Review on Enhance Your Garmin Watch with Quickfit - Stylish and Convenient Watch Bands by Vincent Burton

Great tape but very difficult to shrink

I never write these reviews but I felt I had to in this situation so other people wouldn't repeat my mistakes. The group itself is great. The DLC coating is extremely scratch resistant, comfortable, breathable and works very well on Garmin watches. Overall excellent quality. Now let's get to the downside. Resizing is terribly difficult. He took it to a watch repair shop, he tried for 20 minutes to loosen one of the screws and gave up. I bought a cheap set of small screwdrivers and set about removing the screws myself. I ended up pulling the screw off hard before damaging the bit so badly, that it became unusable. Still couldn't move the damn thing. So, I've been reading online and people have suggested that you need to resolve the threadlocker they're using first. Some people have used brake cleaner for this, but I used WD-40. I filled a small plastic container with wd-40 and loaded the entire watch band into it. Then I let it sit overnight. After taking it out and wiping it with a towel, I grabbed another cheap piece and actually managed to remove 2 pins and rip off the third so hard I couldn't even start spinning it. I've also crippled this bit to the point where it's useless. So a page was downsized but I didn't want to buy cheaper beats. Instead, I spent $50 on a professional set of Moly Blah Blah Super Duper watch screwdrivers (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009OWX5HU/). and I was able to easily remove the screws before and after one. I mangled and replaced one of the links I removed with the other side. Since I was able to remove the handiest ones, they now look great and are the right size. Luckily, the tape itself is insanely difficult to scratch because the screw heads keep popping out and hitting it. So I can personally vouch that this DLC stuff is legit if you don't like scratches on your watch. Change size. Or just soak them overnight and then take them to a watch shop because then he can probably spin them. TLDR: Buy expensive screwdrivers, soak the tape in WD-40 overnight and you can remove the screws to resize.
