This pillow does not have enough bulk for side sleeping. However, if you sleep on your back or stomach, the fact that the pillow doesn't straighten up but still gently hugs your head makes it a great travel pillow and comes with a travel bag to make it even more convenient to take with you. The two covers provided are soft and wonderful - one is cooler and the other is slightly warmer for sleeping. It's not made from cooling gel memory foam - but the fact that it's ventilated means it can still be pretty cool with the right pillowcase. It has decent support and rebound while still being breathable. The company makes the pillow a little thicker and advertises it for camping - I would probably choose it if I could do it again, but it's a very good pillow nonetheless.
