Brand new out of the box - soft, with a light stretch and very comfortable. 95% cotton, 5% spandex, feels like bamboo but without the expense. At 5ft 3m the robe is long and reaches the calf but does not tickle the ankles or feet. (no tripping but good coverage). If you are 5ft tall I would consider a shorter version so you don't drag on the floor. A tie is included but only in a small area at center back so you still have full opportunity to overlap and tie in front. The sleeves are 3/4 and they are a bit roomy so dishwashing can get a little wet but not overly and doesn't bother me. The two side slit pockets are well placed and practical - but I'm not sure about large cell phones. The fit is true to size and I'm able to gain/lose a few pounds with no fit issues. Excellent purchase!
