Review on 📦 Maximize Storage with Ziploc Space Bag - 2 Piece Cube Combo Vac Bags (1 Large and 1 Extra Large), Clear by Jeremy Lane

I was hesitant to buy these after reading mixed reviews. I've used space bags before, but not since Ziploc started making them. I didn't want to spend money and not have the vacuum seal work. However, they work perfectly. I would be surprised if there were many quality differences between space bags in different packaging, suggesting this is user error or a very strong vacuum causing problems for others. The pockets are a reasonable size but I think they hold less than they have. as advertised (which I assumed anyway, but had a hard time finding info on what actually fits) - the L bag held 2 sets of double bed sheets with pillowcases and 2 duvets, with some space left - the XL bag held 2 Queen-size blankets (one of which is very bulky) and a pillow; This bag is stuffed to the brim - the basis of cubic bags the size of a folded sweater. Usage: - Instructions suggest stacking items (as shown on the box) and placing the bag in a container to ensure the bag stands upright/remains a cube after vacuuming. If you're packing sweaters, I suspect stacking them as shown would be fine. I couldn't stack them because the items were too bulky to fit neatly in the bottom of the bag and I didn't have a container of the appropriate size to encourage the cube shape. I laid things across, first folding the folded blankets on the floor, and then straightening them all out at once. I folded it neatly. The height of my stack was the width of the bottom of the bag, and the length of my stack was the height of the bag on its bottom. Because I packed this way, my finished/vacuum bags were long and flat, not short and cubic. My vacuum works very well for home use (it doesn't lose suction) and hasn't leaked - it was my first use and I bought these to keep my linens clean and take up less space when moving house (short term storage) - I have these Bags have not been unpacked yet and not sure how they will hold up with repeated use Pros: - I haven't had any issues with the vacuum seal or zipper (unlike some reviewers) - There are clear instructions on the bag packaging for how to pack Bags - of course the vacuum has reduced the bulk of my bedding (but not the weight; these bags feel heavy because they are narrow!) Cons: - I don't think the bags hold up as much as advertised (I think they do fit 2/3 to 3/4 of what is advertised) - XL cube base is not large enough to fold blankets or pillows as shown. Clean halfway and then stop to smooth things out before vacuuming all the way. This can help you reduce clumps - remember not to vacuum anything filled with feathers/down.
