It was a good educational toy, and the children enjoyed smashing the egg with the included hammer and getting to the dinosaurs. The dinosaurs themselves were fairly small and not particularly complicated, but with the help of the booklet that came with them, they did a good job of helping the kids learn. The worst part was that breaking an egg was incredibly messy. They broke an egg outside on the sidewalk and then I had to wash the whole driveway to wash off the cement, I can still see the remains on the floor. I would probably recommend doing this on a tarp and then tossing the cement in the trash so I didn't have to endure cleaning.
