I ordered this watch for my wife to replace her watch which ended up not working. I read all the specs and reviews but couldn't get a clear idea of the belt size. One review stated 5.5 inches, but it wasn't clear if the watch was included in the box. A few others have indicated that they were unable to adjust the strap at local jewelers. time after they bought it. Some of these buyers have said they cannot replace the battery. Okay. Here are the actual facts I found after purchasing this watch: The circumference of the strap plus the watch attached to it is @6.5 inches, so measure the buyer's wrist and if it is less than 6.5 inches , it's NOT the watch for him. I have adjusted many watch straps in my life and after carefully examining this watch with a magnifying glass, I have come to the conclusion that the strap is NOT designed to be shortened. . Perhaps with more experience they could be shortened, but that would probably spoil the look of the strap a bit. I don't know what the largest wrist size is for this watch, but it may stretch to fit up to an 8.5" wrist, but I don't know if it's still comfortable to wear with so much tension is. Regarding the battery change: since the watch was too big for my wife's 5.5" wrist, we returned it for a refund and didn't even see if it would work. However, I inspected the watch case and found that there was a has small notch which is meant to make it easier to remove the back of the clock so my guess is that the battery is accessible and can be replaced if necessary and a suitable spare battery can be found. .
