I've been watching a Helinox bed bed for a while that looks strikingly similar to this one. I want it, but the $400 price tag for the crib and extra legs is a real non-starter. Then I saw ATEPA. I've read other reviews that sound pretty confident in the quality they've experienced. When I saw it drop below $100 during a Black Friday sale, I thought it might be worth a try. Much easier to set up than the equivalent alpine mountaineering bed thanks to the locking lever handles. I'm not as slim as I used to be, so I carefully lowered my 220-pound body onto him. There were creaks and pops, but once everything calmed down, everything went back to normal. I camped with it for the first time with my son's scout party and was happy. In a camping tent this fits well without leg extensions. I'm concerned that the floor of the tent may become damaged with constant use, so I'll work on laying out the legs. It is very comfortable. There are no problems. The aluminum construction feels reasonable and well-made. The fabric looks well stitched and sewn well. The levers look like they could be a source of misery if used incorrectly and result in bending or damage. So I'm careful when indenting and disentangling them. The weight of the main structure and fabric is light enough to justify walking short distances in it and leaving your feet at home, but I'm not sure I'll go any real distance in it without sacrificing something else . For use with scouts and walks I guess that would be ideal. The sleeping bag and mat I use are stored and transported in a bag large enough to fit in a cot. If you want Helinox and can spend it, go for it. But if spending a quarter of that amount on a fake sounds better to you, give it a try. This crib costs less than most hotel rooms per night and really should last more than one night. So far, so good. I will update this review if it breaks or I see a problem. Six month update: funny story. I have used this several times and slept exceptionally well. However, one night I had a small incident. Somehow I slipped too far towards the head end with the leg extensions. I woke up swaying in the air, half sliding down at the end, but instead of sliding down completely, I pushed myself against the wall of the tent. I was in a precarious, fairly unstable position and was struggling to get out. The crib eventually collapsed under me and I thought it was the end of my crib: bent legs, broken fasteners, deformed rails. After extricating myself from the debris, I found that the headrest had simply ripped off under the full force of my weight. I released the lever, moved the prop, and clamped it back. There was absolutely no damage and I fell asleep again. To me, this is a testament to the durability and workmanship of this crib. Still comfortable after all these months.
