Measure the width of the legs of what you're using them for!
These extensions saved the day! When we decided to place the cabinet above the toilet, the bottom shelf was right above the outlet. I couldn't believe it! When I saw these extensions, I immediately ordered them. We had to sand the bottom of our cabinet legs to fit in the grooves of the extensions because they are ½" wide and it took us about ⅝" but after we did that and banged a bit to get them in perfectly! You really saved the day. We used both extensions because we needed all 4 inches.
