I am 67 years old and recently had receding gums.

I'm 67 years old and have had receding gums for a year (although I've been brushing/flossing/rinsing my teeth my whole life). Everything I've tried to stop/reverse (Nature's Smile, Ora-MD, even the coconut oil puff) causes the palate to burn [Nature's Smile did this after 3 weeks], so I decided to go oral instead to try probiotics. Two of these pills (even chewed before bed) give me nausea/stomach ache the next day and the third taken four hours after the first two gives me diarrhea. During my stomach pain my blood pressure meds didn't work at all and gradually normalized as the Great Oral Health probiotics wore off. Since I have the rest of the bottle I might try taking one instead of two, chewing, rinsing my mouth out for a few minutes and then spitting it out instead of swallowing to see if that would help my stomach upset, but I do It doesn't know if it helps, whether it. Enough to help gum recession. I will also monitor my blood pressure if I try this again. UPDATE: I tried chewing it and spitting it out but it still gave me a stomach ache which I still get to a lesser extent after a few weeks. Research led me to believe that my gums were receding because I was no longer absorbing calcium (diagnosis osteopenia).
