I liked this idea and really wanted it to work for me. It's not like this. I have one of those screw and pop drain plugs. It doesn't work as well as it used to, so I'm trying to find something fun to match our bathroom. I liked that it has a little suction cup so it sticks to the tub instead of sitting on the rim of the tub so it can be knocked off. However, our bathtub has a small sink around the drain and doesn't suck it well. It will hold water for a long time and then be torn off, creating gaps and water starting to flow down the drain. If your tub is shallower, it will work much better for you.
