I have had this scale for several years and only recently gave it up and bought a new one. I agree with other reviewers that plastic components are cheap, but the bigger issue for me is that the weights are all over the place. It seems like he's fixated on a certain weight, then jumps and then just stops at a random number. Weight also changes depending on where you stand on the scale. This is probably fine if you just want to get a general idea of your weight, but a little more accuracy is needed for most people who actually use the scale to lose weight. I will tell the reviewers who have complained to give you 0.0 then 0 0 0 0 and then off, these people are using the scale incorrectly. Most electronic scales require you to zero them first. You need to tap your foot on the scale, reset it to zero (show 0.0) and then continue. If you just step on the scale without zeroing it, you'll get an error message.
