I bought this stool to put my feet on the sofa and as extra seating in the living room. I figured the varied color scheme on the cover would hide the dirt and the orange and red tint would add a subdued effect to my blue-grey couch. The filler I chose was Joanne's Micro Styrofoam Balls - I bought them for $28 a bag and used 1.5 bags. You'll probably need topping up considering the bead binding Pros: easy to tuck in, soft material, nice color, cheap, comfortable Cons: the zipper is visible from the bottom, doesn't hold its shape as well as we would like. .Since the kids sit sideways on this (and my other) stool, it always looks like the stools are deflated. I use them all day long. In fact, I like this one more than another stool I bought at the same time for about the same price - the other stretched considerably.
