Review on JML Comforter Cationic Microfiber Alternative Bedding by Candy Quillar

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Very soft and silky fabric, lightweight blanket that's a pleasure to sleep in!

This JML blanket set came in a very small box and inside that box was a smaller clear plastic sleeve with everything vacuum sealed to a surprisingly small size. Open this package carefully (not to cut/damage anything inside), but as soon as you cut any part of it, air will start to get inside and it will start to expand. I put the comforter in the dryer for about 30 minutes until it suggested it and it really just flared up. They also included some drying towels to reduce wrinkles and static electricity. Also included is a large zippered pocket to hold everything I use to store my old comforter and sheets. 100% polyester fabric fits anywhere and is very lightweight. I've read about the cationic process in relation to polyester and dyeing. This appears to be due to the fiber's positive charge, and this process makes polyester much more of a natural fabric, very silky, anti-static, breathable and water-absorbent. It also offers a more stable dyeing process at a lower temperature. I slept in these sheets last night and it was wonderful! The duvet is very light and the fabric is breathable, silky smooth and I love it. My old sheets are 100% cotton and I prefer these. Incidentally, the description states that the size of the queen-size duvet is based on the Korean standard, but the duvet fits my American queen-size bed perfectly. It hangs almost to the bottom of the mattress, just the way I like it. I think my only complaint is that they say "do not iron" and even straight out of the dryer there are some wrinkles, but I think they can dissipate over time with moisture. That aside I think it's a great complete bedding set and real value for the asking price.
