The tension is moderate, which is just right for my comfort. The bandage is also very soft, which makes it even more comfortable to wear. However, it is very difficult to wrap it with one hand. The hook closure works really well, but it needs to be on both ends for easy launching. There are other headbands that have a hook-and-loop closure at both ends. It's worth paying attention to if you need to wrap your wrist or elbow unaided. Also a bit expensive. I would look elsewhere before buying again.
